Erica Sorenson

I have been sewing and making clothes since I was 5 years old. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry and Math. After a trip to London, I decided to pursue a career in apparel technical design. I really enjoy patternmaking and textiles and also like exploring creative aspects of clothing design. I like experimenting with pleating and creating garments that are simple yet have something unique about them.

Being politically conscious I am moved by images of riots and protesting. I thought about how I could communicate these influences into a fashion statement. This was the inspiration for my collection.
