Kelsey Nelsen

I love to draw, paint, and create just about anything. When I was young I would collect my mom’s fabric scraps and sew clothing for my Barbie dolls.

I hadn’t considered a creative career until a few years after obtaining my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Spanish. I wanted to improve my sewing skills, so I started taking Apparel classes at MCTC. Now that I am fully immersed in the fashion industry, I have also become passionate about sustainable fashion. I take pride in designing quality garments with thoughtfully sourced materials.

I love to design feminine silhouettes with structural elements by taking inspiration from nature and my experiences abroad. I also like to create interesting color palettes that draw attention to a certain focal point in each look.
